The Life of a Worshipper
Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
The life of a worshipper is a life of sacrifice; sacrifice that is necessary in all aspects of life. A worshipper’s life is a life that has been designed for the purpose and the intent of others. God is his/her portion, not just by choice alone, but by necessity. A leader MUST be a worshipper if he/she is to be effective for the Kingdom of God. It is the heart of the worshipper that needs to be consistently handled and fashioned by God if chains are to be broken and hearts are to be mended. And yes, not without pain, heartache, isolation and disappointment do this come. His/her needs are considered last so that others may be properly fed and spiritually nourished. Strength and virtue for the worshipper is again gained in the presence of God, the dwelling place of a true worshipper. Seldom is the life of a worshipper celebrated that men may glorify God. No man can ever give a worshipper what he is due; it is God alone who takes an account and rewards us according to our obedience and submission. The glory that flows through a worshipper contributes much so to yielding, faith and trust in what God desires and is able to do. In the midst of all, it’s the heart of flesh that no one sees in a worshipper, that had been processed by God that makes the life of a worshipper count for something much greater than themselves. So God create in us a clean heart and renew the right spirit in us; it is You who rewards…it is God who rewards.
