- Apostle Dr. Nailah Gilliam, along with her husband Pastor Wayne, are founders of Praise to the King Ministries (PTKM) in Wilmington, DE. Apostle Gilliam holds a Bachelors and a Masters in Theology, as well as an earned Doctorate in Theology from International Christian University, an affiliate of Jameson School of Theology, where she studied for more than 10 years. She is a prolific preacher and teacher of the Gospel, as well as an anointed psalmist, lyricist and author of many thought-provoking sermons, poems and articles. She is known for preaching with such ferverence and relevance that people of all ages easily relate to her "in-your-face," yet personable style of delivery. Make no mistake, when it comes to ministering the Word of God, Apostle Gilliam will both deliver your mail and read it!
Apostle Gilliam has a passion for the lost. She spent more than 10 years ministering to incarcerated men, during which time she saw more than 400 decisions for Christ. She has served as a one-on-one counselor to many in prison. She has ministered hard-hitting, life-changing messages of deliverance to women in the women's facility as an annual revivalist. Apostle Gilliam loves young people, who gravitate to her due to her caring personality and ability to relate to them on a level they can easily understand.
Apostle Gilliam and Praise to the King Ministries are submitted to the Apostolic oversight and covering of Archbishop/Apostle Lannice L. Collins, Presiding Prelate and Founder of Kingdom Covenant International Ecumenical Council of Churches, Inc. based in Ayden, NC.
Apostle Gilliam believes firmly in the Kingdom principal concerning "the Church" -- that the Kingdom of God is within you! And that this knowledge comes only to the enlightened...those that give themselves over to study of the Scriptures and to the practices of Christ the Messiah, in particular. The big step, however, is to apply what you learn to your own spiritual growth and development! For her, being "in" the Kingdom is not based upon having a "religion." Access is granted to those having a personal "relationship" with Jesus Christ. And citizenship requires one to relinquish his/her carnal desires in order to diligently seek after the internal, eternal Kingdom of God and the righteousness of Christ. PTKM has truly become "a place of refuge and a house of praise" for men and women desiring freedom from addictions, dependencies and generational curse predispositions. Many have received deliverance from drugs, alcohol and homosexual and lesbian lifestyles, based on Apostle Gilliam's consistent mantra that, you're welcomed to come as you are; but don't expect to stay as you were! We're all in a constant state of deliverance."
PTKM is a Five-Fold, Full-Gospel, Apostolic Ministry. As such we embrace, preach, teach and exemplify through practical living and application that all of the gifts given to the Church by Christ at His ascension are still in operation and are necessary elements in bringing the Body of Christ into the unity of the faith. Ephesians 4:11-13
She has been commissioned to edify, equip and deploy into Kingdom assignments a mature, Spiritual Army of "Sons" who are determined not to take sides, but to take over the kingdom of darkness by manifesting the Kingdom of God in everything they do, in every nation and to every kindred throughout the world!
She is pleased to serve as Apostle and Senior Pastor to an awesome group of anointed Spiritual Offspring, like gospel rap recording artist and Youth Pastor Hykiem (HAK RAW) Purnell; Asst. Youth Pastor Carlena Watkins; anointed psalmist, preacher/prophetess, Elder Leonette "Pebbles" Traylor; soloist and Jr. Deacon, Terrance Cook; gospel rap recording artist, songwriter, preacher and prophet Minister Adaryl "SKEEZ" Harding; liturgical dancer and interior designer Minister Taneya Stewart; as well as two of her natural sons, up-and-coming Christian comedian/ singer/actor Minister Henry "Olboy" Davis and gospel artist/choir director/choreographer Kemarr Noel, just to name a few! Those mentioned are just a few of the enlightened Believers at Praise to the King Ministries doing great things for God! There are many more and others yet to be deployed into their Kingdom positions. They are gearing up for service in the PTKM M.A.S.H. Unit and "Training for Reigning" in the earth realm as well as in the Kingdom to come!
Dr. Gilliam is bi-vocational. In addition to serving as Senior Pastor of PTKM, she is Program Management Director for the City of Wilmington's Department of Real Estate and Housing. She has worked in local government for more than 14 years. She is experienced in nonprofit community and affordable housing development, as well as regulatory compliance for HUD grant programs.
Aside from preaching and teaching the Gospel, Apostle enjoys reading, writing, shopping and photography.
Last, but not least, Apostle Gilliam is an entrepreneur.
